Human Resources Generalist

Responsabilities

• Comprehensive management of employee benefits program by maintaining thorough knowledge to facilitate the communication for, enrolment in and termination from benefits system. .
• Creating, updating, and maintaining job descriptions for all positions in the company.
• Responsible for full cycle recruitment including assessing manpower needs, developing sourcing strategies, job postings, etc.
• Supporting performance management by coaching management and employees on effective appraisal practices, devising effective communication strategies and delivering results.
• Supports creating HR policies and programs ensuring implementing best and fair practices.
• Works closely with management and employees to identify, counsel and resolve employee relations issues.
• Providing advice and guidance to the business on HR related issues, provides accurate information to ensure consistent interpretation of policies, and promotes best practices for efficient administration.
• Responsible for developing and implementing employee reward and recognition programs for timely appreciation of employee contribution and service loyalty.
• Partners with management in initiatives such as career progression, employee communications and employee engagement.
• Reviewing, creating, and implementing employee benefits programs, negotiating with external vendors for securing best options available.
• Conducting exit interviews and providing relevant feedback to the concerned head of the department.
• Participating in JHSC and supporting development of health and safety programs in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations and company's Health & Safety Policy.

Qualifications

• University Degree or College Diploma is a + but NOT a must!
• Minimum 4-5 years' experience in human resources or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• CHRP designation would be an asset.
• Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, able to identify issues, propose viable solutions, and implement changes.
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of provincial employment legislation.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to balance short-term and long-term priorities.
• Continually seeks process improvements and efficiencies; initiates new ideas to increase overall team effectiveness.
• Experience in Dayforce an asset.

Compensation

• 65k – 75k (negotiable)
