Payroll Administrator (6 Month Contract)

- Multi-provincial, multi-union, semi-monthly & bi-weekly payroll processing using in-house Payroll Software
- Managing a variety of payroll tasks, flex benefits programs, multiple vacation plans and commissioned staff on draws
- Ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for multiple divisions and business numbers, while attending to the Pension Administration for Canadian employees
- Overseeing Life Insurance & LTD Claim Administration inquiries through Manulife
- Month end reconciliation of General Ledgers, SunLife, Garnishees, Union Dues, Social Clubs and Payroll Tax
- Efficient tracking of vacation days and sick days while balancing payrolls with spreadsheets using Excel
- Preparation of reports in Crystal as necessary
- Managing and archiving payroll data
Qualifications
- University/college degree/diploma in a Business related field
- 2-3 years prior Payroll process experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Mathematical aptitude
- First level of PCP requiredIn-depth knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
- Some knowledge of Crystal Reports would be preferred
- Flexibility; comfortable in a high pressure, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
- Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
Compensation
- 50k – 55k Base Salary
- 6 Month Contract
