Payroll Administrator (6 Month Contract)

Responsabilities

  • Multi-provincial, multi-union, semi-monthly & bi-weekly payroll processing using in-house Payroll Software
  • Managing a variety of payroll tasks, flex benefits programs, multiple vacation plans and commissioned staff on draws
  • Ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing for multiple divisions and business numbers, while attending to the Pension Administration for Canadian employees
  • Overseeing Life Insurance & LTD Claim Administration inquiries through Manulife
  • Month end reconciliation of General Ledgers, SunLife, Garnishees, Union Dues, Social Clubs and Payroll Tax
  • Efficient  tracking of vacation days and sick days while balancing payrolls with spreadsheets using Excel
  • Preparation of reports in Crystal as necessary
  • Managing and archiving payroll data

Qualifications

  • University/college degree/diploma in a Business related field
  • 2-3 years prior Payroll process experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Mathematical aptitude
  • First level of PCP requiredIn-depth knowledge of payroll policies and procedures
  • Some knowledge of Crystal Reports would be preferred
  • Flexibility; comfortable in a high pressure, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Highly detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Compensation

  • 50k – 55k Base Salary
  • 6 Month Contract
