Payroll Administrator

Job ID: 114 | Located in GTA (ON), Toronto (ON), North York (ON) | Sector: Property - Management | Full-time

Responsabilities

• Manage the preparation and distribution of the organization's hourly, unionized and salaried payrolls for multiple payrolls including a bi-weekly unionized Quebec payroll
• Liaise with internal and external departments to ensure timely and effective resolution of payroll and benefit issues
• Respond to inquiries from co-workers and employees promptly, thoroughly and professionally
• Ensure all legally required tax filings are prepared and submitted to the appropriate agencies
• Ensure that payroll deductions for employee contributions (ie: Life, LTD, health insurance, multiple union pension and welfare payments and related benefits) are accurately calculated and applied
• Apply organizational policies and assure adherence to departmental procedures
• Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled or special reports
• Ensure administration and compliance of all legally required deductions including but not limited to (Federal, Provincial, CPP, EI, WSIB, EHT)
• Manage the preparation and annual filing of required reports and/or payments to government agencies, insurance carriers, other organizations and individual employees

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 -6 years payroll experience
• Experience with Labour Relations and interpretation of Collective Agreements an asset
• CPA Certification or in progress preferred
• Knowledge of Quebec payroll an asset
• Ceridian Dayforce HCM (ADP/PCPW and ReportSmith) an asset
• Proven customer service excellence when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders including clients, employees, vendors and owners
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to dissect a problem and provide options for resolution
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment – someone who thrives in a fast paced environment
• Organized, proficient, detail oriented, engaged and committed
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation

• Base salary 60k - 65k (based on experience)
