Responsabilities

• Own significant areas of technical work
• Regularly review and mentor the work of junior team members
• Organize your work against team goals and focus on work with the most impact
• Pick up new areas of responsibility where needed, and tackle problems that need experienced hands
• Engage in discussions thoughtfully and support clear decision making as a model for the project as a whole
• Be a thought leader within the technology platform(s) you are working with
• Communicate regularly with the team to make them aware of the latest innovations within your area

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science
• 5+ Years of experience working in a Production Environment
• 2+ Years of experience managing direct reports in an Engineering Organization
• Must have solid OOP / Architecture Design Skills
• Must be able to work within an MVC framework
• Must have ability to take on Domain Modelling tasks
• Solid Understanding of networking concepts & configuration
• Understanding of Agile Process with ability to do Timeline Estimation
• Must be comfortable working from the Command Line
• Must have work with Performance Analysis / Optimization / Alerting tools
• Experience working within, and deploying to Cloud Based hosting (preferablly AWS)
• Must have strong skills developing automated unit, functional, integration, and performance tests
• Must have experience designing features end to end, must be execution focused
• Must be confident in setting a release plan when required
• Tackling challenging problems on tight deadline
• Must have built a scalable ReST API
• Must have advanced knowledge of database design, and how to write optimized SQL queries
• Must be able to design a scalable caching strategy, and understand where caching is applicable
• Distributed Systems experience
• Experience Scaling to support millions of users
• Experience working with Continuous Delivery Pipelines
• Cloud Based hosting (preferablly AWS)
• Email Experience

• Base salary 50K – 70k (based on experience)
