Financial Analyst

Responsabilities

• Supports the business in all their reporting, forecasting and budgeting needs;
• Ensures timely and accurate creation of financial reports and required analysis;
• Prepares various financial models to aid senior management in various real estate decisions;
• Reviews monthly / quarterly results and prepares presentations for asset management and operations to assist them in understanding property performance;
• Understands and ensures compliance to property management / asset management agreements as it relates to financial deliverables for third parties and partners;
• Reviews monthly results and identifies issues / discrepancies back to corporate shared services that need to be addressed;
• Gains detailed knowledge of properties and its various entities, provide recommendations and supports corporate reporting requirements
• Assist in the preparation of annual portfolio reviews
• Provides ongoing input on areas of process improvement;
• Assists in the completion and maintenance of development cash flow models;
• Provides analytical support and significantly contribute to the asset management process;
• Assists in the design and maintenance of the corporate cash flow model;
• Assists in the due diligence / closing activities on acquisitions and dispositions
• Collaborate and provide financial support to Operations, Asset Management and Project Management for repositioned assets.
• Assists in refinancing assets and providing documentation to management and financial institutions

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years combined experience in accounting and finance
• Previous experience strongly desired in Financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Real estate industry experience considered an asset
• CA, CMA, or CFA designation an asset
• Excellent knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications (Word, Access, PowerPoint)
• Solid knowledge of accounting functions
• Detail oriented and organized
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with high credibility at all levels of the organization
• Must demonstrate flexibility, strong commitment to meeting deadlines, and solid decision-making skills
• Self-motivator with ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
• Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines as well as attention to detail in all areas of work

Compensation

• 70k - 80k base salary (based on experience)
• Bonus
