- Ensure accurate and timely month end, quarterly and year end closes
- Prepare consolidated financial statements
- Be responsible for overseeing all journal entries, adjusting entries and reconciliations
- Ensure monthly and quarterly bank reconciliations are completed accurately and on time
- Knowledge of government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Work closely with senior management on budget and financial planning
- Responsible for all activities with reference to financial management and financial reporting including budgeting, cost accounting, forecasting, cash management, and asset management
- Prepare all required documentation to support financing needs
- Administration of the company's accounting system to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and internal controls
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external reporting for our investors
- Responsible for preparing working documents for year-end audit purposes.
- Acting liaison with external auditors
- Responsible for developing and implementing specific financial models for effective management and decision making purposes
- Responsible for office administration staff as well
Qualifications
- Must be passionate about your career!
- 5+ years exp. working in a similar role and experience
- Accounting Designation, would be an asset
- Must have working experience preparing statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Knowledge of company financial statements (consolidated balance sheet and income statement, statement of cash flows, department reports, and management/investor reports)
- Financial reporting experience, including knowledge of best practices and procedures with proven thought leadership skills including ability to identify, lead and implement process efficiencies and value added solutions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience preparing audits and working with external auditors
- Prior experience of implementation of financial tools would be an asse
- Excellent communication skills - you have a way with words & can connect easily with others
- Highly organized time management skills - you're able to juggle multiple priorities at once

- A strong problem solver with a positive attitude and excellent relationship management skills
- You're a self-starter, highly effective working independently and within a team
Compensation
- 65k - 75k (Base salary commensurate with experience)
